Hey all -

Flamigo seems to be showing signs of its age, and that brings me to this question: what is the expected life span of stock suspension components in a non-lifted, non-wheeled truck? About the worst abuse Flamigo gets is running up on the occasional curb and the washboard dirt road on the way home.

Problem is, my rear tires have started rubbing the wells (28" tires). Happens when I hit a good bump, or go up a driveway too fast. Just wondering if maybe the springs are shot and need to be replaced, or if its something easier like new, stiffer shocks.

if the springs are worn, then new shocks wont fix it. you can mabey add a new leaf to the pack if it has leaf springs, might be a cheap fix. if the truck sits at the right height, but hits only when you hit a bump, might just be worn shocks.

i think your prob is that your leafs are starting to show there sings of age and starting to sag so i would vote for an add a leaf kit

hes talking about his other amigo, a stock 1st gen which has leafs. sounds to me like their gettin tired, i'd reccomend getting JoeDs upgrade leafs, or at least an add-a-leaf.
