Help! Stuck Brake Rotor #252424 05/12/03 01:02 PM

I was trying to adjust the parking brakes on my 99 Trooper and couldn't get the drivers rotor off. Passenger side came off no problem, but was unable to budge the Drivers side. The parking brake WAS off and was able to spin the rotor easily by hand. Hammer and a wood block didn't seem to be getting anywhere. Any ideas on getting it off or possible causes?
Thanks
Nick

squirt some PB on it and let it sit for a little bit. i pounded mine with a rubber hammer and it jumped off after 10 hits. there is a small threaded hole in the face that some have turned a 10mm(?) bot into that pushes the rotor off. mine just snapped off when i tried that.

Thanks, was hoping that spraying with some PB would help and also saw the screw hole. Didn't know if that was what it was for but figure I could use it for that
