TSB EL010- the actual scans, baby...

Hey all,
Here is the actual TSB! This problem was driving so crazy that I demanded to see the TSB---and they gave it to me.
I had it done---it works like a charm. Now my gauge is accurate.
Here is the link to all 4 pages of TSB EL010:
http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/bobykim?d&.intl=us&.flabel=fld2&.src=ph&start=1
Anybody have scanned pages of other TSBs that plague us? Post em!
Good luck!
Bob
[This message has been edited by bob_99SR5 (edited 08 January 2001).]

Thanks a lot Bob. I didn't want to do the TSB because it involves replacing the circuit board (for my VIN at least) and I didn't want to start again with 0000 on the odometer. On page 2, it states that a part can be ordered with the original vehicle mileage restored!! (page 3 also says to "verify that the replacement circuit board has been ordered with the correct vehicle mileage for that vehicle". This is great news, time to get on the case of my local dealer.
Paul

Thanks for the scans Bob. My VIN falls into the "replace the fuel sender gauge and suction tube asssemblies" without having to replace the circuit board.
When I bought the 4Runner I was moving up from a Honda Accord with great gas mileage. It was always depressing to stomp on the gas after filling up and watch the gauge go down to 3/4. I thought it went with the territory.
I'm ordering the TSB next week.
My father did own a Pontiac with a 4 barrel carb that when stomping on the gas you could see the gas gauge needle drop...
------------------
*** 1999 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Highlander ***
beginning of a 4WD page
my lab
paul_morrison@dfci.harvard.edu
Hey Bob--
Thanks a million for that---I had been wrestling with my dealer who just couldn't seem to find out what I was talking about!! One question: did your odometer start over a zero miles?? Or did they program it somehow to reflect actual mileage?
Thanks,
Scott in Nashville
99 Limited
97 1500 Vulcan Classic aka Hog Eater

Darn, I had my 99 done and it reset my miliage back to ZERO and I was pissed! Now that I read that TSB and I could have gotten it replaced with the actual mileage Im really upset.. Does anyone have the TSB ELO10-99 for calabrating the fuel gauge??Who knows if the dealer finished the job correctly and I would like to calabrate it myself.. NOTE: If anyone gets there Runner done and has the circuit board replaced with the actual miliage programed in it let me know please...I will make a trip to the dealer at once

I have a print out from Jan but it isn't very good quality. I'd have to scan it at 300dpi not to loose readability.
Here, I took pictures with my digital camera. My scanner is a work. Maybe they are useable like this:
http://www.avictoryhome.com/lars/tsb
BTW if you use it and show it to Toyota, plese cut off the url source address first.
