As some of you read from earlier posts, I got an Old Man Emu spring and shock setup last month:

Disappointed with OME lift -- in need of advice
FOLLOW UP: How my OME installation finally turned out...

After a month, and a couple of trail runs, the lift has sagged:

Front: heavy duty 881 springs, originally 2" lift, now 1.25"
Rear: medium duty 890 springs, originally 3" lift, now 2.75"

I am thinking of getting cornfed 1.0" spacers to bring to up the front.

My question is, how long did it take for the sag on your OME springs to stabalize? Should I go ahead and get spacers now, or wait a little longer to see if I get additional sag?

Mike

My took about 1 month but I didn't put in the spacers till about 6 mos later. If I were you just go with the 1" that way your CV's will be ok.

OME customers are Cornbreds customers. He's got a big batch right now, it's a good time to order.

By putting spacers on progressive springs, aren't you affecting the shocks/springs rebound capabilites?
I installed my OME's (regulars)last month. I have an 1.25 fronts and 2.75 rears for lift. Haven't seen any sagging as of yet.
Id like to level it off as well.

Not the front OME's

Ah, Thanks Steve.
With adding 1 inch spacers how much of an affect would it have with rebound capabilities..etc?

You will also get the same amount of lift with stock front springs and a 2" Cornbred.

I really don't think it would effect much, my stock springs still handle the same.

This spacer is tried and true, the others are not.

Thanks Steve. This may be the route I go then.

Hey Mike. You have me worried now. You say you dropped .75 with the 881's.
Im going to have to keep a close eye on my 880's. If I notice any sag I'll return the front OME'S, stick my stock springs and 2inch cornfed spacers in there. Problem solved.
I'll be talking to ARB tomorrow to see what they have to say about this issue.
I'll let you know.[/QB][/QUOTE]

Looks like my OME HD rear springs have sagged 0.5" over one year. I'm planning on a spacer pretty soon.
