Welcome to the board!

I'm kinda curious about this one too. I remember sombody talking it up a little while back, but I don't remember if anything productive came of it.

You might try calling over at 4x4 Connection. I know they sell the the Mean Green high-amp alternators for many other cars. They don't have Monteros listed, but then again most places I order parts from don't have Monteros listed. I haven't gotten to the point where I feel it's necessary to track one down yet.

Right now I'm trying to enlist my bro to help me put together a custom wiring loop/harness for the compressor/lights/winch. I don't want to end up with single little wires all hangin' around my engine compartment all individually connected to the battery!

It's only a mod for the 2.6L 4cyl engines. The Starion alternator is the same one that's in the 3.0L V6.
