Well after 5 years with my montero it's time to sell, and move up to a 95 SR. With three kids in car seats it's just to small. Will post it on the for sale area. If anyone knows of a good 94 or 95 SR please PM me.

I really hate to say this but I am so frustrated with the stupid idle problem on my truck that I am considering selling it. (maybe I am just too upset that I am talking crap now ) I have done everything I can think of but nothing since to work permanently. I brought the idle down to normal but a few days later it goes up again up to 2K RPM I donÆt want to go to the stealers cause I know theyÆll end up ripping me off. I hate to think that it could be something so simple and I just canÆt figure it out.
Besides the ##@$#%* idle problem the truck is cosmetic and mechanically in great shape.

Not even going to pretend to know your engine but my van did the same thing and it turned out to be the idle speed motor. I allows air to pass through a by pass chute to keep the idle up when foot not on gas. Just a thought in case you have one of these.

Call paul at "rally sport engineering" in Coata Mesa. He only works on Mitsu's and subaru. Good guy and may be able to help. Look him up on the web.

I have a 91' F-150 the idle on it was running high, about 2000, all the time. Turned out to be a plenum gasket. Gets some B12 caberator cleaner. Spray it around the intake manifold, the engine will speed up if it finds a air leak.

Thanks for the support guys, I'll get together with kirk and we'll swap idle motors to see if that take care of the problem.

Caps,
When my IAC went out (low revs), it left a code in the computer. May want to check this out also.
