Any updates on those two beasts? How much did they end up costing? Anyone know?

Niether one is ready.

Trager sold his heads to NW and that left Trager without heads. There was a deal in the works to have a high end shop do CNC work on new heads that where going to be sold in numbers, but presonallities between the sons of the two shops got in the way of making money so the deal fell apart.

Trager is having his heads done by another shop and should be ready soon.

NW's engine was used to test the new head gasket design. The new head gasket design held fine with a destructive test proceedure.

They could test those motors in my 4R if they want to.

You are kidding? Trager is again without a complete engine?

I spoke to Trager tonight.

More changes are in the works. He is going to use different turbos now. It seems that MAWs did not do there math right again and the turbos are the wrong size.

It seems that there is some serious motivation now to get the two 4Runners done and out of there. I was told 6 weeks max, but I'll bet it is more like 12.

So, how is your engine project coming along? Is it running yet?

Started her up Tuesday!! So far so good. I have to get it to the exhaust shop, hopefully today, to get the pipes fabbed for it so I can drive it. It has one small coolant leak that will be somewhat of a biotch to fix. Small tube [that should be] pressed into the throttle body leaking.

Thanks again for the hoist, it was a life saver!

Glad I could help. Just let me know the next time you are providing lunch and I will be there...

You can bypass that TB hose until you get it fixed.

Destructive Test Procedure... very well put.

Sorry I missed the EC4J guys.

Gadegt - I'll give you a call when you SHOULD come to Chicago. It was one fast MF while testing the timing chain tensioner.

I thought you would like how I worded it.

Yes I will make the road trip to visit with you. I have so much use or loose leave at work and I would hate to give it back to them.

Hey NW,
What would it cost to have something setup similar to yours? I've been running 5psi boost for a long time... I took a break from mods and now I'm ready to go back. I'm not looking to get 450hp, but I'd like to run 300+ without having to boost so much (hence your setup, which seems to be much more efficient with the intercooler) I would run less than 10psi. Are you running something like 12-15? Would I need to get work done on my heads, pistons, rods, etc? Thanks.
