i know many of you know about the website FREEourFORESTS.com those of you that live on the east coast i dunno if you are having these problems.. they have hiked the price to recreate on federal PUBLIC land again. not only do we pay federal taxes, green sticker taxes , state taxes but even admission fees to recreate on federally owned PUBLIC land.. i feel that mien and yours' rights are being disregarded.. make a difference.

those of you on the west coast.. namely AZ and CA that like to play at glamis. they are talking of a 135 annual fee this year.. a fee that was a DEMO fee in the beginning.. which is against the law to begin with. double taxation. now they want to hike the fee from 35 for the year to 135 for the year. if you aren't already apart of the ASA join today

ASA american sand association
glamisoline.org affiliate of the ASA
there is an electronic petition on the freeourforest website. maybe i'm the last to see this.. but i wanted to bring it to this BBS

petition

thank you

ryan

They hardly even have any public lands on the east coast. Thanks for being involved Ryan, I have never been to Glamis but I signed the petition.

Forest on the east coast? I saw a lot of trees when visited there, but no forest. Hell, the highest mountain is something like 6000 feet and that's a tourist attraction for gosh sake. Come out here to the west to see some real mountains.

As for the fees, I couldn't agree more. Damn fees! I'm seeing them everywhere now. Not only on the Federal lands, but at all the trailheads, both hiking and driving and even on the darn beaches! State lands too. This has got to stop. I understand that the lack of timber revenue makes it harder to fund the governmental agencies like the BLM and Forest Service, but come on! These are public lands. If corporations can be allowed exploit them for profit, the public should be able to at least step foot on them without having to pay extra damn money. What a bunch of crap!
