I know a couple of these have been answered before, but I was unable to find a concrete answer- so any help will be greatly appreciated!

What is the maximum tire size I can fit on my stock '98 Rodeo?
&
What is the max tire size after I install the Indy4x 3" lift?

Also my ride right now is extremely rough over potholes and such - will the rancho 9000's solve this?

Is it really better for me to go with Indy4x other than Calmini in terms of pure quality and ease of installation?

Thanks for the help!

Well I am running 265/70/16's on a 16x8 rim. Don't ask me what the offset is because I am clueless. I did start off with some major rubbing so the mudflaps had to go. Then I cranked the t-bars and then trimmed the wells a bit. Now I have been told that the offset makes a huge difference on whether a tire will rub a little or alot. I wish I could offer more but I am just beginning to understand the whole mod scene. Good luck.

I would bet that just about everybody on this board would say go to Indy4x or Joe Darlington rather than calamini.

I've had nothing but the best service from DOR & Indy4X. these guys are great and sell/build high quality products.

On a 2nd gen you should be able to clear 33's with a 3 in lift. But I would stay with a 32.

I'd say go with whichever parts supplier makes you most comfortable. Not just based on price or looks, but also based on customer service and support. On this board, you can find people that like the different companies for different reasons.

For most of us, the bare-bones lifts have worked out well. That means longer rear springs, crank the t-bars and slap on some new shocks (as well as some manual hubs to help reduce the wear and tear on the front cv joints).

On my 1999 Amigo, I run 33s with about 3 inches of lift front and rear, and 1 inch body lift. Even with this, the 33s rub in the rear on full articulation (mostly the outer lugs hitting a bolt that holds the flares on). The front also rubs on full articulation (when they are really stuffed), and that is AFTER I took out a decent amount of sheet metal AND trimmed the factory bumper a bit.

32s worked on there with minimal rubbing.

I am in the process of installing a 3" Indy suspension lift. It seems that the largest tire size I can use is a 265R75/16.and even then I will need to modify the front wheel wells (back side of front). Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Rodeo Sport and Rodeo have the same clearance?

Everything from the doors forward is identical.

I should clarigy that when I had the 32's (265s), I did have to trim a little bit of the lower 'hump' that's on the rear of the wheel well. There are write-ups on what others have done somewhere in here, but I'm too busy to search right now. It was minor surgery compared to the hacking that I did at the pinch seam on the back of the wheel well to get the 33s to fit.

I can say this... I have a "barebones" lift of 3" and have not done a BL yet. I'm running the rancho 9k's, and have had a few sets of them go bad. This latest set seems to be wearing just fine. I also have 265/75-16's and have had them on for over 3 years now with no ill affects. All the trimming I have done has been the rear of the front drivers wheel well, and I rub a little tiny bit when at half turn and I compress the front. It makes for a funny site when i'm expecting the VRRRRRP when it happens and Amanda isn't ready for it... "OOOOH! I HATE when you do that! Shouldn't you get that fixed?" No way baby...that's what tells all the jeepers i have tires that are too big installed. It makes me cool LOL

Has anybody else had problems with the Rancho 9000's?
