So i've finally broke one of my selectro hubs. The hubs were installed by the PO when he replaced the auto hubs on my 88 4R.

I've found a deal on a set of warn hubs that were on an 86 4R. My problem is that i've seen that Warn sells a conversion kit for IFS auto hubs that must be bought with the hubs. Does anyone know if i would have to buy the conversion kit to install the warn hubs?

thanks.gene.

The absolute strongest, best hub is the factory Toyota Aisin manual hub. I would go to a wrecking yard, find yourself some factory Aisin IFS manual hubs, put in some new gaskets and new grease and wheel worry free for many years to come.

I'm think the factory manual hubs are a direct replacment for the auto hubs, but I'm not positive. 4Crawler would probably know.
