'94 Toyota extra cab PU - totalled - everything FS #310908 09/03/03 10:02 PM

My '94 Toyota extra cab PU (3.0 V6 5 sp.) was totalled on 8/20/03. I rear-ended a dump truck on my way to work. You can see pics of it here: PICS OF TRUCK AFTER THE ACCIDENT ...And no you don't need to sign up to view the album, just click on the pic of the truck...it will open.

All of the damage is front end, frame specifically. Everything on this truck must go...cab, bed, doors, interior, motor, trans, axles, steering box, lockers, lift, everything. There are some things already spoken for like the cap, but it is first come, first served.

The truck will be parted out in PA right off Rt. 80. Buyer is to pay for any and all shipping charges, or pick up parts in NEPA.

E-mails ONLY please to: four_the_hard_way@yahoo.com

Thanks.

Greg

Sorry, I hope you are feeling better. This is not an easy fix but with a good frame straightening shop it can be done & it would make a good SAS project for someone.Someone could cut the front area that is bent & repair with a donor frontend. Nothing is impossible. Maybe someone would want it for that. Otherwise you would probably get more $ parting out.

Wow Greg, it's sad to see your truck like that. At least it wasn't the 4Runner though! Is that Rhinoliner or something similar that you have on your rocker panels?

Take care!

YA that's definately fixable. Good frame shop could fix that no prb, and there are a tonne of guys practically giving old IFS stuff away.

Here is what my truck looked like after my crash:

[Linked Image]

Hard to actually see all the damage, but lets just say it added up to around $7000. Would of been ALLOT worse without that big ass Prozap bumper on there.

BTW: insurance covered it all...

If you do part thinsg out I might be interested in some parts, just have to check into what shipping would be..

it dont look totalled. My uncle ran a rid over on the HWY they kid ran out in front of him. My uncle was not drunk. He was very depressed for months though.

There was 2000 in dagages and the frame was bent but the damage looks the same as yours

I know it seems to be fixable to you guys, but what you don't see is the fact the frame is pushed back on the Driver's side about 8" with a kink in the frame behind the steering box and another kink after the front a-arms...even the trans/t-case x-member is bent. The frame is toast. Plus a few new sawzall blades later, the frame is in pieces. I do hope to make some money back from it in parts which is kinda going slower than I had hoped. I think I will just take pics of everything and post it on eBay to avoid all the "tire kickers".

Thanks guys for your concerns.

I hope to be off my crutches soon...and I will find out on Monday if I need surgery on my ankle/achilies tendon. Which I sure as hell hope not!!

Later.

Greg

?? It's been my experience that a severely bent truck is never again straight.

It might be for a while but eventually it drifts out again. Perhaps this was because the individual owner wheeled so much and bent it again.

Dunno.
