Well my amigo died last night while i was driving down the road... It just kinda of stopped running... It seems to be a spark issue... When it died the engine was warmed, and there was no restarting... the next day when i came back to work on it it strated up and ran for a few mins then craped out once it started warming up... After it died again i checked the coils resistance.. both the primary and secondary resistances were higher than spec.. So im assuming this is the problem. My question is if the resistance is higher than spec is that enough to make it not run??? and should i just buy a new coil.. or are there other things that i should check before i buy one.. also.. anyone know a good place for a coil for a 2.6L??/

thank
james

ps
its been awhile since i've been on the wire... i hope that everyone outhere has been doing well and their trucks have been kind to them...

Fuel pump? Fuel pump connector by the tank?

Although the coil tested out of spec, were you getting spark? Usually when the coil dies it goes to a dead short or it goes to an open circuit. Did you test by the procedure in the manual?

Good Luck,
Michael
