I am considering flushing my motor, 1985 22RE with 143k miles. I believe the motor hasn't been taken all that good of care of in the last few years and wouldn't be suprised to find it pretty gummy inside. For details why see my other two posts about low oil pressure and smoking.

I have heard bad things and good things about motor flushes. I have no experience with them, so really don't have an opinion. I know about the possibility of allowing seals to leak after running a flush, but are the potential benefits of flushing worth any risk? I am refering to the flush in a bottle type, not the machine that is hooked up to the motor and cycled through it.

Anyone????
