Yes, It has been mentioned a million times, but for me, living with that front end shake for a year or so, I finally got rid of it. I complained about my tire balance, yet it still shook. Had them rebalanced, and it still shook. Well, I was rotating my tires, and I decided to take off the wheel spaces I had (when I first put the tires on, they touched the A arm). I had a front end alignment done, but one still touched, so I left the spacers on. Well, I got the front end aligned again, put the spacers on without checking, and just accepted the fact. Well, I just chucked the spacers, tires fit on fine, and NO VIBRATION! Finally I can drive on the autobahn, and not have the thought..."She's breaking up!" Because at 95MPH, that vibration is scary! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />

I lynched them, then tied them to the back of my 4Runner and dragged them through town. Just kidding. They're sitting in a box in the back of my 4Runner. I have a set of 4, but only used 2 up front.

If you have to use the spacers, you should get the tires balanced by someone that does it on the car. This will actually balance the entire rotating mass. The tires, wheels, rotors, hubs and also the spacers. What you have to watch out for is to mark the area where the valve stem lines up on the hub and spacer, in case you have to remove the wheel for maintance, you can reinstall it just like it was when it was balanced.
