 2wheel drive springs on a 4x4...?

Thinking about getting some springs off of a 2wd 4runner and puting them on my '97 4x4 to lower it for winter and hopefully make it handle better. Would the 4Runner handle better with this set up? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks

I think a better option would be to go with the 1" lowering coils from Performance Products like Gadget did for his street 4Runner.

Yes. When I bought my Runner, the dealer had installed 2wd springs for the previous owner. It handled really well. Not sure if there is a tire size issue there though too, mine had 225R15's on it at the time. That whole set up did not last long for me, but it did handle really well in the meantime.

Hey brother,
I have 2 rear springs on the 2X4. and two rear stock Tokoco shocks. Let me know what do you want to do, I'll give you a deal.( this is for third Gen runner).
