I just got home from 4x4labs shop in Grass valley CA. I was looking at there Hy-steer kit. I would recamend it for anyone looking 4 a Hy-steer. It looks strong as hell, and the 1 ton chevy rod ends are HUGE. It looks indestrutible.

But im going with the Allpro Hy-steer. It is 100$ cheaper. And you get a new pitman arm.

Ok now my questions, I need to lenghten(sp?) my front driveline. Could I just get a pipe cutter cut the ends off. And weld a longer piece in there? And then have it balenced.

What do you guys think of the flat-bed kit from allpro?

You could weld an extension in your drive line as long as there is enough travel in the slip joint to match your suspension. How strong and straight it is depends on your fab skills.

I saw their kit at the Marlin Crawler Roundup and I was impressed, it was really beefy and well machined.

You *could* do this but you have to make sure that the two flanges line up EXACTLY and I doubt that you would save that much money. Having a driveshaft lengthened isn't that expensive, it is new splines, CV joints, and u-joints that typically cost so much.

I like it, I think that it looks good and is light and functional. I like the Joe Chacon style flatbed though also.
