I don't know mate, could be. Well then have you replaced the fuel filter lately?

You could try running it with out the gas cap (short distances)to see if it's a venting problem.

i don't know if this is what's causing Daz's problem. it's just a possibility i wouldn't overlook. [ October 31, 2002, 11:10 AM: Message edited by: Churnd ]

Hey Churnd you said you were waiting for your wires to get there. Are they the stock 5mm wires? Or do you have a larger set? If so let me know where you located those. I can only find the typical 5mm wires that will snap into the cap. Luke

Hay man, I had a similar problem with my Runner. It turned out to be the fuel pump. The fuel pump can cause some odd things to happen. Mine seemed to be affected to the amount of throttle applied. But just like yours if I turned i off it would be okay. I first replaced the fuel filter, seemed to help a little (secondary problem). Start with your fuel filter as it is easier to replace and should be changed with that kind of mileage. But make sure your wires are in good shape and the cap is not corroded badly. Other than that consider the ignitor as a possiblity.
