Need a Spot

Hey everyone I just got my motor pulled out to put in a new clutch and timing set and water pump. Now the motor has 130,000 miles on it should I also put in a new oil pump at the same time. Do the realy go bad? what do you think replace or not? thanks joe

If the engine is out with that many miles I would change it with a new toyota oil pump. Not that you have to, or that they go bad around that milage, it just seems like a good time for a little preventive maintenance, great time for a timing belt replacement if' it's a v-6.

They rarely if ever go bad. Keep it as a trail spare. Petrolatum and a ziploc.
