I just bought a jeep this summer. Im going to start a data sheet for this area, and design a website. If you would like to go trailing, or just swap info, then please reply here. I havent found anyone around North Idaho or Spokane WA to go talk to or anything. I am also wondering, is there anything i should paticular to winterize my jeep after some mudding?

you will need to tear apart the front and rear end to the inner oil seals and repack everything in grease. then drain diffs and refill. then drain t-case and tranny and refill. if you sucked in any water you might want to drain the engine oil too...
iirc, there was/is not a whole lot of "mud" in spokane...whole lot of sand though...so i would not worry about it untill you get to my side of the state <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Talk about timing man, I just moved down to Cali from Washington state. There are several clubs in Spokane, Post falls, Coeur d' alene that do trail rides. Myself I"m looking for folks in northern califorina to go 4x4ing with now that I"m out of Wa.
Far as winterzing goes alot of times weather stripping on jeeps can get some dry rot especially on the east side of the cascades like where your at. Changing fluids in axles, trannys, transfer cases, and engine are a good idea if you've spent a good amount of time dunking your jeep. Make sure your four wheel drive is working too, nothing worse then sliding around in the ice and snow in 2wd when you could be in 4HI.

Hey! Its nice to see somebody from this area. I am from Spokane and have been jeeping for a couple of years. I have 3 cousins with Jeeps and we allways go on at least 10 rides a year. We usually go up around Sherman pass. We are not real hardcore but we run 35 inch tires and have lockers. As for winterizing your jeep, we use ours all year long. I usually change oil in the front and rear difs after I go mudding and I check the antifreeze. Other than that I just put it in the shop. Well I better get back to work.
