As soon as I fix the sag, I am going to buy the Roger Brown 1 inch body lift. What tools do I need and how long would it take to do this 1" BL for a rookie wrencher such as myself?

I just did that on mine. It went on fine but getting the old bolts out was what took the time. I found that with the door open my hilift (with a short 2x4 cushion) would fit near the rear doorpost and lift it pretty evenly without hurting the body. I got the high-density blocks and was impressed by their quality. I got the HD hardware and just used a conical rasp bit to open the 8 washer holes after putting them in a vise. Be thinking about your bumpers, steering shaft, radiator, etc... He has info for specific years as far as what's to be considered. Don't forget to detach the bolts holding your brake and clutch lines on the firewall, just in case. Read his INSTRUCTIONS, it tells you what tools you need. You might want a BFH if any of your spacers are rust-welded on like some of mine were. On one I had to grind the bolt head off to remove it and use a vise, BFH and torch to get the spacer off the bolt. On a few others that were stuck I was able to pound it loose from the bottom. It took me the equivilent of a full day. Hit everything with penetrating oil for days beforehand and of course leave plenty of time for the unexpected... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
