Supra Head Question #31137 04/10/02 02:59 PM

I have friend that just bought a Supra with the 7MGTE and has a problem with coolent boiling. I remembered reading something a while ago about re-torquing the head bolts some amount to eliminate this. Does anyone know what to torque them to? Does the head gasket need replaced at the same time or is a re-torque enough?

Thanks

I believe the Supra owners recommend using something in the 70 ft-lb range. I believe they have it on their web site, www.supras.com.

I would change the head gasket. It looks like is has already blown.
