Getting the Wheeling Fever
almost time for new tires and i was looking at 265/75's. however, i can't find any pics of a STOCK trooper (2nd gen) with them on, all i'm finding are lifted troopers (ome springs and torsion lift). one possible execption is 'bigswedes' black trooper but i'm not sure. anything ya'll can do for me i would appreciate.

thanks

Whaddya sayin'? My Trooper doesn't look manly and lifted and everything?

Mine has the OME springs too. Can't think of any stock pics offhand with the bigger tires, if I run across any I'll let you know.

Sorry I can't help with pix, to cheap for digital camera. My 93 is stock and I am running 265 MT's on it(stock 16X7 wheels). No rubbing at all in any circumstance. The tires fill the wheel wells up rather well, but it looks like it needs a lift of some sort to balance it out.... Hello Matt(Indy4x)!!!!

A set of OME coils, crank the torsion bars, and you're there! Easy and cheap.

'bigswede' no disrespect intended , i was hoping that's what it would look like (GOOD!!)

'shortbus' that "but it looks like it needs a lift of some sort to balance it out..." was what i was concerned about.

a little additional info: i'm wanting to keep it pretty low because my wife is short and we haul her mom and aunt around from time to time and they're just as short and on the frail side.

ya'll keep'em comin'
thanks

I drive a Æ02 Trooper with 265/75/16 BGF All Terrains. I will get a digital picture tonight and û if I can figure out how to post a picture û will do so tomorrow. I have done nothing to the stock suspension. Every tire place I went to said, "no way will a 265/75 fit." IÆm glad I followed the advice of this board. I think the Trooper looks better with the larger tires.

Need a Spot
I agree with David. I have the Geolander II's on my '95 Troop. It's not stock in the sense that I also put on Rancho 5000's but there is no rubbing whatsoever. The difference between the 245's and the 265's is nothing short of amazing in how cool it makes the truck look. I will try to post a pic or two but I don't think I'll be able to for about a week.

If I can get these photos to work...
This is what my Trooper looks like with 265/75/16 BFG A/T's
Sorry for the dark pictures but you should still get the idea of what it looks like.
I'm holding my breath that this will work. First try at posting pictures. David

DoesnÆt look like it worked. I will need to go back and read the FAQÆs again to see what I am missing. Help... anyone? My computer and I donÆt have a very good relationship. Like the line from SNL...
"My small caveman mind can not understand your advanced ways and mean."

IÆll keep working on it.

Try this again.
Only one picture this time. See if this works.
