I am thinking of putting a FJ80 rear end in a mini truck. I know that the diff is offset to the passenger side. Will a offset diff work with a centered transfer case output? There may be clearance issues with the gas tank, but that can be moved.
I found a set of FJ80 axles with elockers for $900. Is this a good price?
What do you think?

If you're willing to move the tank, go for it! Plan on running a CV rear driveshaft, that should take care of the compound angle.
Wider, stronger axles, dual E-lockers, cool stuff.
$900 sounds like a deal to me if both ends have lockers.

I'd think you'd have to use a NON-CV driveshaft.
With a CV shaft, the pinion has to be pointed at the t-case, which isn't going to happen w/ an offset diff.
With a non-CV shaft, the flanges just need to be parallel, which can happen w/ an offset diff...
... however this is just "in theory." <img border="0" alt="[Nerd]" title="" src="graemlins/nerd.gif" />
