Getting the Wheeling Fever

Have a 95 Rodeo with a factory keyless entry/alarm system. I'd like to pick up a remote starter for it without it affecting the factory alarm (it's distinct and I like the functionality). The factory alarm affects the ignition in that if it's not deactivated, the engine will not start. Can they work around this / is it possible ?
The way I picture it is the only way the remote starter would work is if it deactivates the factory alarm at the same time. Is this how they usually piggy back on factory alarms ?
Any recommendations ?

It will work just fine, actually my friend has 1996 Rodeo with factory alarm, :)) actually he didn't know for the alarm till I show him the unit and he got remote from ebay, anyway he has remote starter and works perfect with factory alarm his starter is Viper 150ESP. And the remote starter in the winter is one of the best thing after 4x4 :))) I got one too, it was a little tricky and I am not telling anyone since I have 5sp and is time to install safe switch before my wife to decide try it when I am not around.
Good luck

This is my area. Does your keyless entry work with the truck running? If it does, go to best Buy and pickup a 851R for $59.99. It can be added to your stock system. You can program it to start with 3 presses of the lock button. If the keyless does not work with the truck running. Buy a keyless entry remote start system. I would recomend a combo alarm and remote start. You can order the DEI 553T off ebay for $110. It's full alarm with remote start. It's the same as a Viper 550.
I have a 1995.5 with the 553T. It's a easy install.
