Getting the Wheeling Fever

Hello all,
I know it is not much for the East Coast, but here in Portland and surrounding we got anywhere from 3" at 50' above sea level. Above 500' they got 6-8", that is enough snow to stop alot of things around here for people that are not use to it. I was definetly keeping busy showing people what an Isuzu can do. Also being a good isuzuian by stopping and helping the stranded get on their way. I will try to post pics when I can figure it out.

I enjoyed the little tiny bit that we had. Made the roads slick though.

it's definately about time we got a decent amount of snow here. i actualy got to drive up mt tabor and ride my snowboard. the best thing was watching all those people who sneer at me for having an s.u.v. shiver at the bus stops while i drove by with the heat and stereo on.

I thought the kinds of people who rode the bus in Portland sneered at SUV drivers, no matter what the weather was.

I flew in last night after a two week stay in Oklahoma to find out that they had just lifted the "you can only drive with chains" crap an hour before I arrived. I had to drive the Trooper from my uncle's house in Vancouver down to Corvallis on I-5. It took about 2.5 hours going between 35 and 50 the whole way. No problems for me, but I did get to see two crazy cars that passed me doing seventy meet their demise. One of the guys was scratching his head while the grill of his Blazer was stuffed in some bushes with the cops around. The other was a car laying on its side about 200 yards passed the first one. There were already some 4x4s on the sceene helping that one out so we forged on. I think we got a little more last night as well.

yeah , the bus mafia in portland seem to think that personal vehicle ownership is no longer necessary in our fair city. in fact i'm going to be moving out of this (m)ass transit paradise and into a more rural area by early february. hopefuly then i can keep some of my mods still attached to my rodeo. the thieves came back the other night to finish the job, but they got spooked and took off when i looked out the window. nervy scumbags, huh? anybody need a new neighbor? keep in mind i will still be working in portland.
