I have had my Superlift installed for the past week. The first day of driving was great, w/o any squeak or rattle whatsoever. Several days have past before I got into my truck yesterday. There are squeaks from everywhere it seemed. Over the smallest bump, and the front suspension would squeak like crazy. Sounds like a pack of mice have moved under my truck. It just seemed odd that the first day of driving was fine, then all of a sudden it started to squeak like crazy.

I observed the suspension cycling up and down as I tried to push down on the truck today. Seemed like the only place where Superlift would have made any difference is on the bottom part of the A-arm on both sides. Are there other parts that could have caused the squeak?

Should I try some WD40 on it, which I doubt would work as it's too thin. Or should I try retightening all the nuts and bolts? Has anyone had similar problem after their truck is lifted with Superlift? Since I had the lift installed professionally, I wasn't sure if it was missing a washer or something. Prior to the lift, everything was solid w/o any noise.

Congrats man... How much did you get it for?

With that much lift, you should be able to fit 36" without a prob... Maybe even 37" with the proper backspacing

I got if for $599 + $45 to ship anywhere within 48 states. His service was pretty good as I got everything on the 4th day.

As for the install, 4WheelParts wanted $750 just for labor. Other local 4x4 shops are about $600, but I found this new shop that's 30 miles out of the way for $400. Overall, I'm very please with the result.

The only difference I've felt is that the truck now rides a little firmer, which I'm attributing it to the new Superlift shocks as my original has about 100k. The other thing I've notice is that it doesn't upshift as well, which I'm assuming it's due to the less aerodymanic of the truck sitting 5" higher as my tires are still the same size.

Yep, just needs some tires, which I'll have to wait a few more months so that I don't get yell out by my wife

I don't have a sl installed yet; Just a bl... I think urso8up may be running a SuperLift with a 3"bl.

The real catch is in setermining where the squeak is coming from... What pitch is it? My #1 squeak has always been my hood, and that didn't start until the addition of the bl, poly bushings & bilsteins (i.e. - everything stiffer).

Unless there is zero grease, you shouldn't hear any sound from your lower a-arms. As for grease, go buy a grease gun; All WD-40 will do is attract more dirt & make the squeaking worse.

You should definitely retighten everything if you've been driving on it a week or a hundred or so miles. I'm a bit surprised (just a bit) that the shop who did the install just sent you on your way without mentioning that - or without offering to do it as a part of the install.

Strongly agree... They should hook you up; Most do.

When I got my lift installed, they had me come back after 300 miles to tighten everything up, then again at 3000 miles. I still get a squeak from one place so I took it in and they showed me where it was coming from. I put some grease on it and it has gone away. I can send you a picture of it since it would be difficult to explain.

Well, I think I may found the squeak. I first checked superlift's website to see if there are any Q&A, but got no help. After several days of embarasement driving around town with the constant squeak, I finally called the installer to see if he has any idea. He suggested that I look at the corner of where the front anti-roll bar bends, and the rear set of bump stop meet. Given the liftkit, it comes with the bump stop extender, and if the anti-roll bar is not centered correctly, it can easily scrape against the bump stop.

As it's been raining here in Dallas for the past 2 days, I have not had a chance to get a wrench to adjust the anti-roll bar. From peeking underneath, it does seemed to be the case as they are very close to one another.

Hopefully, that'll be the solution. I'll get under my truck and tighten all other nuts and bolts when it stop raining here...perhaps on Sunday.
