Wow that looks great. Did you chop it your self or have it done? How are the open edges capped and how does the door open in rear?

Once again, Bowing down to the nicest gen1 I have ever seen. The ammount of work involved in that truck greatly surpasses mine. It is truely awesome, and should be in a museum or something.......but wheeling the hell out of it sounds good too!!!

Wow that looks great. Did you chop it your self or have it done? How are the open edges capped and how does the door open in rear? Hey Nitteberg: Sometime when you have a few minutes to kill, how about taking some pics of the soft top and how it attaches. I'm still churning the gray matter on doing mine and am still going over in my head how to approach it. (Remember the thread I put up a while ago on could I retro a Heep top in some way...) I suppose if I had a real Paj top I could figure it out as well. Any idea where I could order one from, and price? TIA

Contact this man, Greg Cozier. He lives in Barbados, where such convertibles Pajero's exist, along with turbo diesels. Greg runs a Clark Lift distributorship and does fleet maintanence on vehicles, as well as races rally cars. He knows motors, suspensions, and drives a LR Discovery 4x4 (diesel at that). I am sure if he can he will try to answer your questions about the convertible versions, send photos, etc. His racing season starts soon. Tell him Bruce from the GGVG site gave you his email.
Too many 4x4's, not enough time or money

Thread Hijack Alert Was the PTO added later? can our T-cases be retro'ed to accept it? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Do some searchs for PTO. AFAIK - The PTO only works on a manual tranny. I found someone in Europe that was parting out a Pajero last year. They had a PTO that they were willing to ship to the US. I don't think there were any takers. If you are serious about a PTO, look overseas. Europe and Asia had them. In England look for a "Breaker". That's the english term for a junkyard. I've had some parts imported from England, Germany, Austria and Australia. Be prepared to pay a lot for shipping.
