Someone suggested that maybe the rotor inside the distributor was bad on my truck, causing it to stumble. Anyone who knows, does it look fine? There are grooves on those little white things at the top of the cap and the metal end of the rotor does look a little rough.

Roll Me Over
I see some scratches on the cap, usually caused by voltage. I'd replace both. my 2 cents. Go to Autozone.

Would this cause the engine to stumble? I was thinking the fuel pump but if I can manage to get the rpm's up around 2700 or higher it runs smoothly which led me to believe this might be the cause. This sound about right?

Hard to say for sure, but I did see some wear in the cap, and the end of the rotor looked dark, hard to be very specific in the picture, but for $30 (set) is better than ripping the fuel pump out and THEN realizing the Cap/rotor had to much wear. Those things are just a wear out item. 20-30K Item. If you run a MSD ignition box like i did on my Corvette, (msd 6AL) i was replacing cap and rotors every 12K.

Im not worried about the cost, I just hate screwing around with it when its this cold here. Im trying to get it running fine again so I feel secure running up to a guy's shop to finish the driveshaft and some trimming of the brackets that I skipped while hurrying to finish the SAS. Almost forgot, how do I pop the middle thingy off? I pulled on it but it seemed pretty tight on there. I didn't want to pull too hard and screw something up.
