I've used those cheap windshield repair kits that you can get at almost any parts store, and they seem to work fine. It should tell you on the package the maximum size of chip that any particular fix-it kit will do, but 5mm seems easy enough to fix. Good Luck!

Do something quickly, I let this go for a week, and it is now (obviously) irrepairable.

The windshields in these things break almost as easy as a cd case.

Tag, they DO break easy. I bought one out of a very experienced salvage yard and the foreman was embarrassed as hell to have to call me back and admit he broke it getting it out. "It just fell apart in my hands" he said smile heheh

I am on my 3rd windshield. Each one has been repaired a few times. I have never had to replace a windshield in any other vehicle I have had. And only had to have one small rock chip repaired on any vehicle other than this one.

Just repaired 2 chips in the windscreen today using Permatex Bullseye. The first one was about a year old and low down on the passenger side - results were good but I could still see the crack after the fix. The second was brand new (1 day old) - after the fix, when I checked from the inside to make sure all the bubbles had been removed, I thought I had set up the syringe in the wrong place. The second fix was competely invisible, which is great as this chip was right in the center of my sightline when driving.

This product was really easy to use, just follow the simple instructions on the packet.
