I've been doing some research and have come across this method of lowering the front struts over and over and over on many different vehicals...they simply invert the strut mounts...example: Wayne's Offroad

what are the pros and cons of this???

doesn't work with the Sportage, different strut mount, especially since we actually have a coil-over shaock, not a true strut. the equivalent for us is to use a spacer between the strut/coil-over shock and the frame bucket where it mounts to the frame. this also just happens to be the standard addition to the Eibach coils for more lift or for those who just wanted spacers and no new coils.

there was a thread within the last 2 weeks about getting ahold of John Beynon or Dennis Thompson about that, they are the ones building and selling them. as far as i know, you can get as much as an inch and a half think one. with no lift, this will give you near 3", but you will have to watch your strut hitting the cv shaft on droop with anything more than an inch spacer above the strut.
