My '91 Trooper II 2.6 is mainly used for commuting, but this summer when I have more time, my daughter and I will use it to hit the mountains and do some light wheeling, hiking, and maybe some camping trips. Mine also does bus duty, Home Depot trips, etc. Plus, when the weather turns ugly, I make my wife leave her CR-V in the garage and we take my truck out when we need to go anywhere.

Plus, my truck lets me learn more about how cars/trucks work and lets me practice maintenance on it. You could say it's turned into something of a learning lab. My summer project for it will be installing A/C and doing a little front suspension work (flipping ball joins, spacers, etc.). If anyone has any hints or tips, please e-mail PM me.

I use my Rodeo to pay the owner of my local Isuzu dealership's home mortgage off and send his kids through college.

Before it got pulled in the shop for motor swap and SAS, I used it to haul our 19ft Glastron, tent trailer and also for DD duties, to practice the art of 1 day head-gasket changes, etc... Then I started using it for welding practice. Hmmm... what can I make for/weld to the Troop today?

What our family Ascender is used for:

1) Not offroading lol, that would be unfortunate suicide.
2) 7:30 mom leaves us kids at school, drives 25 miles to my dads business, 2:00 mom comes to pick up her 3 boys, 4:00 run errands, go to grocery store or post office if necessary, whatever, hauls groceries, tractor parts for my dads dealership, basic suburban high mileage stuff.
24,000 MI IN ONE YEAR!!!
3) Show off the awesome "ISUZU" grille on the front, it looks good on the Ascender!!!

ROFLMAO
How true!

My mechanic told me yesterday that he feels like that its his second car now because its in his possession more than mine.

Anyways when running I use mine for the wonderful travels to school, carrying loads of lumber everything, trucking mass amounts of alcohol to the desired locations, and anything else that my pathetic life can dream up!

yeah I find myself being DD alot also. I think its because drunk girls like piling in the back where the subwoofer box is.

Never quite figured it out.

TroopTad---maybe because the druck chicks know theres a bowl(your woofer!) of some sort to catch thier Haahaa

Anyways, since being parked....my trooper has been used for a play thing for the neighborhoos cats(paw prints all over it). Also used to store things in(school books not needed, so on). Once the troop is back on the street, it will be back to bringin me and my girlfriend to the trails(bike trails that is), tennis court(her choice), movies(her choice), school, and wal-mart(not to mention the gas station!). Matagorda Beach will be what the trooper sees the sonest though, seeing i missed out on 8 months of fishing already.
