ok heres the deal put new balljoints in truck in december replaced a couple days ago.they had less than 3000 miles on them.its a 94 truck with donwey control arms on it.i dont have those mega travel joints cause i got moog replacements and they clear ok with the travel.im not goign to lie i wheel the crap out of the truck and drive it daily.the truck gets abused hard off road.im working on parts for sas now but wont be ready for awhile.is this a common problem???any advise.oh yeah btw moog replacements used to be lifetime now im being told 1year only.

Are they greaseable? I found that the ones on my front axle were not and wore out after about 1-2 years use. I replaced them with some greaseable ones and greased them up both before installing then noticed they were squeaking and found that if I greased them again with and without a load on them, they have remained tight and silent.

yeah they been greased.actually im kinda weird bout that.ever time before and after i wheel i grease and check everything all fluids checked and all fittings getting greased.that would be 6 times out wheelin so 12 times had grease blown in them.never had any moisture or water come out of the boots either.im clueless at this point.

limit compression why??? nothing binds ive checked a couple times with t-bars out.just curious you may be right but i cant see why.
oh yeah i dont have the ft end cranked way up.only like 2 inchs lift not the 3 downey says.matter of fact its hard to hit full compression.i do have saw bars though.

no actually had 4.75bs wheels on till the day i changed joints.now it has 4bs wheels on it 15x8 with 33/12.5/15 trxus mt

did you drop your differential? if you didnt you need the long travel ball joints, unless u have long travel moog joints, the arms alow for 4 more inches of travel, which the stock upper cant handle

i have moog replacement upper and lowers i dont think moog makes hightravel joints.no diff drop at all.when i had everything apart i put one side together without the balljoints boots on and cycled it through travel.balljoints close but not out of travel.oh yeah and its the lowers im having trouble with not the uppers.kinda wierd problem i guess. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

oh the lower balljoints, hmm try a different brand i guess stock balljoints would be fune with the rancho arms
