so what do you guys think a custom HP 9" would run as compared to a 60? Seems to me it would be big$$$$$$$$$$

Either one is big $$$$$

Currenty that HP 9" is brand new and there are only a couple of gear choices for it. That limits your options a LOT. Its really too new right now. It JUST came out.

The HP 60 is pretty much standardized (there are parts and builders everywhere out there for it), but still expensive, and if its "custom," then of course its going to cost even more.

This new hi-pinion 9" is going to be very affordable compared to the 60 or other "custom" axles, as you'll be able to use a lot of junk yard parts, if you want to build your own. I'll try and get a little more information toward the end of the week.
