I have the CV axle unbolted from the inner axle and under the hub.. The Haynes manual makes it look like it should slide right out, lol yeah right. well thats not the case... Any tips or tricks you guys are aware of??

I unbolted the upper ball joint and lowered the lower a-arm until I could get the inner off, then jacked up the lower a-arm until I could slide the half shaft out.

I did the opposite. Unbolt the lower ball joint and the shock and pry it apart and it should slide out clean. You won't need to press out the studs in the axle - I did but found I didn't need to after I unbolted the lower ball joint. You are right that the Haynes manual just says undo and remove - they are a bit stupid.

Thanks.. I ended up taking off the upper balljoint nut, and the nut that holds the sway bar.. It dropped down far enough to slide it out..ahh what a pain in the ass, atleast the other side will be easier now that i know exactly what to do.
