Body Damage is Cool
How do I remove the front diff. Do I need to dis-assemble the front hubs and pull the shafts out or can I un-bolt the diff. and pull the shafts out?

unhook the wiring and your breather vent. undo the 6 bolts on each side that hold the axleshafts to the diff flanges. undo the one bolt on teh front crossmember. undo the two bolts at the mounts (these bolts are in the vertical plane). then drop it out. now you have to remove teh inner axle stubs from the housing. a slide hammer or puller is nice to pop them out since there is a loose retaining clip holding them in. plan on replacing the clips. pop off teh front cover, and have at it.

yes, you do not have to mess with the front hubs at all. sometimes it is tricky to wiggle the axleshafts away from those 6 bolts to get them free of the diff. i drove out the pressed in studs in the diff flanges, ground off the splines, and use them as bolts now. it makes it much easier to get the axle shafts out.

I bought a lockright for now. I got a really good deal on it. $150 new! I will upgrade it to ARB front and rear when I have less expenses later on. But this should be fine for now.

it will work great. turning gets tough in 4wd when you have good traction. is yur rear locked? dual locked, you will be amazed where you can go even with IFS.

This is the first locker. I have heard of turning issues, can't you unlock one hub?

Sort of a workaround more than a solution, but yes, you can do that.

That kind of what I figured but at the price I got it, you can't really beat it.
