Getting the Wheeling Fever
Well, its that time of year again and Uncle Sam owes me some money! This is a good thing too b/c I am needing a new clutch. I have quite a few options here but want to make sure I make the right decision. I went to the local dealer and I can get the entire clutch kit for $192. My uncle can get me an aftermarket OE kit for $96, or I was able to locate and Centerforce Stage I for $126. The Centerforce kit doesn't include the throwout and release bearings but I could order those seperately for $28.95, plus shipping and tax. I'm probably gonna go with the centerforce kit but I wanted to see if anyone has one in their truck and if its worth it. Or if anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Where to go!

I have used several of these for friends and Myself. Total satisfaction! Not affilliated in any way.

I'm not sure exactly what you were refering to on that site. I looked at the clutches but didn't see what you were talking about.

I agree with DannyG57 100% on his recommendation for using JT Outfitters. Their clutch kits are OEM Aisin/Sekai components. Unless you run your truck at the weekend drag races, then OEM replacement is more than sufficient for daily driving and moderate wheeling abuse. Best price for a complete 5 piece kit Ive ever found and have used them on my last two projects. Totally happy with results.

Look at the model and year application for your vehicle;

Clutch Kit - 224mm surface with 21 splines, includes: TYC 538A Asco, TYD 010A Asco, BRG 807, 97143 06201, CT 5303.
Fits

Here is what I see for your rig.

Hey esquire812...nobody ever agrees with me

Yea I browsed around the JT site and saw what you were all talking about. Think I might go with their OE replacement kit, very good price. Thanks for all the help Danny and Esquire!!

I've got a Centerforce in one truck, and a Zoom in the other. Both are fine, and both are probably overkill. I think it was the Zoom that was a the house brand for Parts America at the time. Both have stood up well to some heavy use and abuse.

My Aisan OE clutch ahs taken me almost 200,000 miles. I'm not sure why I'd even consider replacing it.

Go check out JT Outfitter's ASCO (Aisan) clutch. Darin has one and he loves it.
