Body Damage is Cool
I have a friend that put his battery in
back-ass-ward <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> No, it wasn't me!
Anyway, he was inquiring on how to remove the 80 amp fuse to replace it.
Anyone know the procedure. My shop manual isn't handy at this time.
Thanks
danny

Its in a holder, release the clips with a skinny flat screwdriver and push it up through the housing. Or is that down through it? shooot....anyways its bolted to the wires with 7mm or 8mm bolts. Easiest access by unbolting the whole block from the inner fender, unhooking the other connector clips and going at it from the bottom.

You have to pull the mounts for the fuse box then loosen some wire up push the fuse up through then use a cross it to remove the screws that hold the wires to the fuse.

It has a clip lock, just push it with a screwdriver, push the fuse and holder down. One bolt on each side. Should take about 5 minutes.

Also as a precaution, check the B+ termianl on the alternator to make sure it's not burnt. Hopefully the fuse did its job <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
