Need a Spot
Back in the early 90's I had to lift my Raider 2" to get clearance for the larger bell housing on the Ford C6 transmission. I couldn't find a commercially available lift kit so I used the following to do it:
2 inch outside diameter PVC pipe cut to 2 inch length.
I went to the local hardware and found some 1 3/4" flat washers that fit perfectly inside the pipe. I stacked up 2" of washers and then ran a piece of 1/2 black water pipe through the holes in the washers. I then stuck the washer assembly inside the PVC pipe and siliconed the snot out of it to keep water out. End result was a solid 2" lift that I never need to worry about cracking or breaking like the fiberglass or urethane blocks can do. Even better the total cost to do the lift was only around 30 dollars. I also bought appropriate length hardened bolts needed to resecure the body to the frame.

Ouch! Better put a sign on the back stating that "this vehicle may roll over at any time." <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

Well, I've seen worse. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

Roger Brown 4Crawler makes kits for our trucks. I've got the 1" lift kit on my truck and a few others have the 2" kit. I've only got good reviews.

Roger's kit was high quality. The blocks a great, strong, and self lubricating, they will never squeek.

The bolts and nylocs were also great.

Your lift blocks sound scary. Right up there hockey puck body lifts. But if it works for you it work for you. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

Need a Spot
The C6 is hooked on one end to the NP205 transfer case (it's been awhile but I think that's the model) and on the other end to the Ford V8 302 that replaced the 2.6L. I'm going to do a post on that little project.
