Getting the Wheeling Fever
I had mine done at the dealer when it had 30K on it. Cost $200. Nothing was cracked but they put new bushings in it while they had the pedal linkage all apart. Works like a champ.

I'd recommend doing it asap. I let mine go for a while and I think the slack is what eventually destroyed my clutch. So what would of been around $80 and less than an hour job in the driveway (this is what it eventually tokk to fix the bracket) ended up being a $1200 clutch rebuild <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. So like I said, $80 and an hour is well worth the insurance. Good luck.

Mine was cracked at around 70K miles 3-4 years ago. Changed it and put on another 70K with the new one.

Thanks to Josh I was able to see the pics of a broken assembly. Mine is definitely broken. What is especially disturbing is that I took the truck to Toyota of Wilmington this past Friday to have the clutch replaced and specifically asked them to check this item b/c of what I had read on here about it being a problem. Service person didn't seem to have a clue about what I was talking about. They replaced the clutch and said that the clutch pedal contact switch was worn and needed replacing. Arrgh. Makes me feel oh so confident in their knowledge and abilities.

Here is one of the pics that Josh sent me:

I am looking for this part online. Is "clutch bracket hanger" the proper name for this part? If it is, I am having no luck locating it. Thanks

This thread is the first time I've heard it called that. Try "clutch pedal bracket."
