3 inch body lift on a genII, (or 2 inch on a 95 sr) possible? #421774 03/22/04 03:00 AM

Hey,

I just put on a 2 inch body lift on my genII. I love it, couldnt have been any easier. And on a automatic genII it didnt need any kind of custom work to fit it. Nothing had to be altered other than a fan shrowd.

I want to fit 35's this summer. I "might" be able to fit them with the 2 inch body lift, and some additional suspension lift. Might is a key word, but I think I could pull it off.

The 33's fit without rubbing without the body lift. Also I lifted the body up two inches now, and 35 will only sit one in higher in the wheel well.

But... what about a 3 inch body lift instead of a 2.

I think there is one person who runs 3 inches total in a genII.

I am wondering what the major problems are.

I think maybe stuff in the engine compartment, steering shaft, and radiator.

I would keep the radiator stock, and run an electric fan. Right now I am at the limit with the 2 inch, or how comfortable I am with the fan and radiator not lining up.

Any ideas?

I think I am the only one running 3", but its on a Gen I, and with extended rear wheel travel 35" tires barely clear. With stock wheel travel I think 2" will work on a Gen II, and Carlos is running 35s and 2". If your going to boost rear travel by removing swaybar, adding longer shocks and springs, better to go 3". I nearly cried the first time I tried to load my rig and get in it, but you get used to it

Looks good, but it looks like a different Pajero. The first one doesnt have a scoop in the hood, The second does oh well, either way, it still looks good. How much did you pay for those flares, and did you have to cut any body behind those flares. Post more pics of the process if you got some.

BTW- I just put on my cousins 37's tonight to see what it looked like. Really cool, but i couldnt turn. I took some pics, but it was at night, so they werent the best pics.

later,
Angelo
