I've seen some posts on this topic lately, usually related to an increased tire size so I checked my odometer while out on the road this past weekend. I found that over a 10 mile stretch the odom. was reading low 10%. Is it safe to assume that the speedo. is off by the same amount? I was thinking of trying to change the speedometer driven gear that the transfer case end of the cable is driven by to correct this. Has anyone here tried this approach and how'd it work if so? I'm fine with the power with the 31x10.50's so I don't want to spend the $$$ on new gears in the rear end just to correct speedo/odo error but would like to have the correct reading on the gauge. Seems like that nylon gear shouldn't cost too much.
Regards, Indy
