Just wanted to see if anyone has found a good source for the o-ring and 2 gaskets outside of the Toyota dealer. I dug up this info here:

Quote
so the official part numbers are (thanks scott!)

Locking Hub O-ring (this is the o-ring for the part that you turn to lock the hubs)
43532-60010

Locking Hub Star Gasket (this is the gasket that separates the halves)
43531-60010

auto hub gasket (this the gasket that mounts the aisin hub to the rotor area)

43422-60010

but I've got a natural hate of Stealers.. er, I mean Dealers because I've been broke my whole life and they always want an arm and a leg for everything. So I'm just checking to see if anyone has a good source. LOL, guy I bought em from said 'they're clean, no need to rebuild'... arrive covered in black grease, o-rings in a couple pieces, no gaskets.... ohwell, they're all clean now.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Body Damage is Cool
I just rebuilt mine. It cost $15 for all the gaskets and o-rings you listed, not bad for dealer parts.

Rebuild them right and you can get some bling like I have:

Is the hub/rotor gasket the large paper star-shaped one? They suggested at the parts counter here just using rtv for that one - keeps water out better.

no, the star shaped one separated the two half of the aisin.

oh. duh. 's right; the plain circle is the innermost.

Well, why not use rtv for both.

I use Permatex Hylomar on mine instead of the paper gaskets. This is a non-curing compound, and can be disassembled and reassembled w/o cleaning it off. It does a superior job of sealing out water and debris, and seals just as well after disassembly.

What little joe said or the 'hardening' style blue or black silicone. I like using a clean seal and might think would accumulate on the outside edge of a non-curing compound enough to justify being wiped down and fortified on a rebuild, but if he says it seals I'd be inclined to believe it.

I wouldn't use silicone or anything that could act slippery between the locking hub and wheel hub. You want the bolts to clamp down and create FRICTION to drive the wheel...
