My brother has a 93 x-tra cab w/4" trailmaster and 33's. His rear springs are starting to sag pretty good. Would an add a leaf cure this or should he get new springs? Also he needs new shocks, any suggestions where to buy? Thank you.

Monroe MA-733 fit the rear of my truck great, only had to change out the bushings on one end. MA-733 is sold to fit the rear of a 76-93 Dodge Ram Charger 4WD and 72-93 Dodge 3/4 ton 4WD trucks. Max ext. 26.25 inches, Max comp 15.5 inches. ThatÆs perfect for a 4 inch lift! If you go to a parts store you must tell them it's for the application I mentioned above. They canÆt find anything without knowing year, make and model. Sometimes I wonder how they find the restroom.
93 4X4 ext-cab, auto, SR5, 3.4 V6, supercharged, 2.1" pulley, URD fuel mods, Aquamist WI, IPT valve body mod, dual cases, 4" superlift, Alcan springs, 33 BFG MT, ARB locked front & rear, 5.29 US Gears, RB 1" BL, 1.5" BJ spacers, TJM T-17, Warn m8000.

I just put a 2 inch add a leaf in my 88 and it raised the back more than I actually thought it would and i had to crank my torsion bars so it wouldnt look like my truck had a tilt. But yea it would definitely solve your sagging problem in the rear. my email is ruffrydag@hotmail.com pm me or email me if you want picks of before and after pics.

Forgot to add that the set of new springs and center bolts and nuts was 40 bucks. They took about 4 hours with the help of my buddy. The nuts were a b**** to get off of the u bolts and took a big breaker bar.

Hey there Hoss. What part of Vancouver are you in? I grew up out in Hazel Dell. Graduated from Columbia River.

Hey, I am a senior at Ridgefield High School but all my buddies go to Skyview. I just moved from the salmon creek area kind of by Mt. Vista. Where do you live now?

Ya Spudder <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Used to play soccer out that way. Back then there wasn't that much in Ridgefield. Heard that the whole area has grown. I'm up North now. Out in Graham, just South of Puyallup.

I have a 1992 V6 ext cab. I took the springs off and took them down to the local spring shop (look in the phone book, every town has one). They re-arched the springs and added a leaf to bring the springs back to the factory arch. Brought the back of my truck up 2". I also put a set of Rancho RS5000 shocks on the back. Air shocks are a good solution but you will loose articulation and increase axle hop.
2000 Ext Cab SR5 4WD 2.7L 5-speed.

Air shocks are a good solution but you will loose articulation and increase axle hop. I agree you would lose articulation if you set them up so they are NOT cross-linked. But WITH them cross-linked you will actually add articulation, not lose it. I haven't noticed any axle hop with mine. They come from Monroe already cross-linked at about $60 a pair. I do recommend you put a valve in between the pair so you can unlink them when driving at high speeds. Here is a pic of the valve I am using to unlink them. pic of my front air shock set-up
