Tried removing the belt this weekend but where is the tensioner?? The Haynes book says tension is adjusted at each accessory but this doesn't seem right. It does show a pic of the tensioner on a 3.2 but nothing on the other engine. One drawback to a book that covers multiple years is they show reference pics of the different models but not all and never the pic you need . So if someone can verbally point me in the right direction and a pic would be even better it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When looking at the motor from the front, it will be on the passenger side of the motor, just under the alternator. It has a plastic pulley with the ribs in it for the belt. I believe it is a 14 or 15mm wrench that fits the bolt on it, to loosen it, you can use either a wrench, or you can get a long pry bar, put a block on the frame rail under the battey and put the bar on the belt side of the pulley and push the bar down, causing the pulley to move up loosening all the tension. It tends to be a be tight in there with a normal wrench, the fan can get in the way, but it is accessible. Once you do it a few times, you'll be able to change a belt in about 5 minutes. HTH
