I think it's great that everyone comes to their defense with a story of their own misfortune.

My viewpoint: I've order from them 4 times, only when it's a dealer only part. Everytime something has went wrong.

They need to first make sure they have the part, ship the correct part, to the correct address. Seems like they've got issues clear across the board to me.

Body Damage is Cool
I've had good service w/ St Charles, but I understand that some have had issues. A lot of the trouble is a result of drop ship delays or miscommunications on what is actually needed. I know it took me 3 orders to get a rear body mount bolt. I gave measurements, descriptions, locations, etc. but it took 3 orders to gee the correct fastener.

ON a similar note, I've ordered parts from Jerry Lemond. He provides exceptional service.

Frankly, if you are not happy with the service, go somewhere else. That is the general principal behind a free market. Not everyone will be happy all the time. It seems like your experience is the exception to the norm with dealing with St. Charles, but, in spite of your repeated bad experience, you ordered from them 4 times. As you can see from the response above, St. Charles is almost always great and when things go wrong, they fix it. If you were looking for commiseration from others, you are probably not going to find it here.

Head to your local dealer and maybe you will get better service.

Good Luck,
Michael

Roll Me Over
Let me try differently: They spent an extensive amount of time on the toll-free (their cost) phone with me researching information in the last year.

I had four good orders, one honest (and now I see why) mistake, they paid out of their pocket to ship me the new order before the old one was returned, and shipped me a sticker to ship the old item back. They quickly made everything right, even calling to follow up with me a week later. And the total is still cheaper than my local dealer.

Most items shipped from the main Isuzu warehouse, not St. Charles, and they pre-explained there might be a delay beyond their control. (i.e. honesty). When ordering from a local dealer, I had the same wait for stuff to show up at the local dealership, that I then had to drive out to to pick my stuff up instead of having it delivered to my desk, or waiting at my door.

My experience w/ St Charles: Perfect? No; they goof up. But they own up to and fix their mistakes, deliver to me, and for a price cheaper than the local dealer. I'm happy.

Keep in mind that St. Charles is not always the one making mistakes. They are only the very first people to touch your order in a long line. I have had great service from Merlin at St. Charles every time I have ordered. Yes, they have messed up one order of mine by shipping the wrong part, but that was for obscure plastic peices of an optional armrest that don't seem to even exist. They didn't charge me for any of the incorrect parts.

The point is they did their best to correct the mistake, even though the problem might have been my description or one of the warehouses. That is Customer Service, above and beyond what is expected in my book.

Sorry you haven't had good luck, but keep in mind the big picture. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
