I need to replace the head gaskets on my '00 trooper, 3.5l. I have a manual, but it just says drain coolant. I know where the drain in the radiator is, but wheres the drain the drain the block, so that when I pop the heas, the oil pan doesn't fill with coolant. Is there a plug in the water pump of the block somewhere? Thanks,

If you are just doing the heads, don't worry about draining the block. Pulling the plug on the radiator will allow the coolant in the block to drain well below the level of the heads.
Just so you know, there should be some sort of plug on both sides of the block, above the oil pan that would drain the coolant left in the block.
Good Luck, Michael

From my FAQ link below:
Where in the antifreeze drain plug on the block? For my car '99 Passport 3.2 V6 4WD, the plug was 27mm and located directly above the starter and accesible with a regular 6 point socket a 20" 1/2 drive extension and a long breaker bar.
All the coolant poured right out, with the front end of the car on stands.
