I've been under my CJ-5 for the better part of the morning trying to adjust the tie rod ( I need more toe in) and the passenger side tie rod end just will not budge. It seems that the driver's side is free. I've used PB Blaster and tapped on the tie rod with a ball peen hammer. I've been trying to turn the tie rod with a 14 inch pipe wrench. I'm affraid of putting too much torque on the tie rod thinking that I might pull the tie rod end apart. Any suggestions?

Body Damage is Cool
Good plan with the heat, but also if you get it to move freely remove it and antisieze it.

Also if you break the end with the pipe wrench, it was shot anyway.

Thanks a lot guys. The heat really worked. Just a propane torch but it did the job.
