ok first off i got rancho arms in my truck.i dont have the rancho/downey center link in because the tie rod hit the pitman arm by about a 1/4 inch.the factor one clears by about 1/8inch.also trucks got 4.88s locked rear and 4.7s in the case.havent noticed the problem in 4high but never really use it.

after doing some stuff out back the house i moved my truck which was in 4wdlo.came onto driveway in 3rd gear and gave it some juice.ft tires squeel.wtf?i backed up and did same thing but hanging out the window.ft tires go way positive toe.ft end usually comes up a bit but now it goes pretty much all the way up.wtf is going on.i just got in my 4.7s so i never wheeled it yet.before on climbs though ft end would hop sometimes just figured one tire was bouncing.

now is this being caused by not having the proper center link in for the kit?is this somehting thats just another problem fo ifs?nothing in the front end is loose at all.it doesnt pull the wheel either direction when you do this.i tried it on loose gravel and it does the same thing.the ft end comes up all the way to the bump stops.this is on level ground in 3rd and higher gears in low4.i cant imagine how bad this could be on a sticky steep hill in 1st in 4wdlo.

so did anyone ever run into this???

not really a tie rod issue but a geometry one.

when the a-arms and the tie rods dont move in the same arc, you get this toe in problem on severe lifts.

my WCOR kit has a bad one. so bad that people think i broke something up front since both tire are pointing in.

note that when you jack up one tire, it will tend to toe in.

now give it gas while climbing and this is multiplied.

take a look at both upper and lower a-arms. then look at the tie-rod.

if all three are NOT parallel, that is the problem... live with it or fix it...

i've kinda lived with my issue. nothing is hurt. i'm about 6-8 years now with my setup.

i know you said nothing in the front is loose, but have you rebuilt your idler arm? when the bushings are gone and/or it is bent, and you are on the gas, the toe in gets all wonky.

yeah i know from watching videos of my truck in action that it looks all geeked walking through rocks.yeah its a geometry issue i just never really noticed it before not like this anyway.think trying to get the proper center link to clear would help at all?the rancho/downey center link clears the ider arm fine.oh yeah and i tried new pitman arm and te old one both hit.i dont really know what i could do short of loosening my steering box and trying to move it a bit to get more room.

the only difference between oem and downey link is tie rod sleeves are longer and tie rods atatch farther inward.
