Getting the Wheeling Fever
I recently ordered some new gears and install kit for my 7.5" front (still unopened). Erik B's differential site says that the T100 front is the same as standard 7.5", which seems to be what I have based on his descriptions. Some sites say the the T100 front is the same as the Tacoma (late model 7.5")and requires reverse cut ring and pinion. Other sites say it is a standard cut setup; the same as older trucks? I'm a little confused.

Here an example
This site says Tacoma and T100 are reverse cut.
This site says they are 7.5" standard cut like older Toys, and different than Tacoma.

Secondly, my front diff leaked out the passenger side (ADD). Will replacing the needle bearings with standard bearings fix this? Is there I seal in there too, or do I need to replace some CV part?

Maybe the pic will clarify my question.

Its for sure standard cut, the same diff as the '86-95 pickups and 4runners. The front diff in my T100 now is from an 80's 4runner.

As for the leak, there is a seal that you can replace. If there is a lot of play in that flange though, simply replacing the seal may not fix the leak.

I was sure it was standard until I looked as some websites that implied it was reverse like Taco's. Maybe they don't know.

they don't know. it is just like erik said.

don't swap out any needle bearings. check your seals. there is a seal in there.
