I've looked over ARB's catalog recently (and contacted them) and it appears the Gen II bull bar is no longer made. Is there a significant difference between the Gen 2.5 bar and the Gen 2? Anyone know how width compares? What about mounting points (as if these really mattered since they had to be modified anyway)? ARB USA can't answer what the differences are. I hope to still be able to add an ARB to my wish list (very long but unfunded ).

The only visual difference I've seen is on the Gen2.5, the bar tube bows out at the ends where it goes down into the bumper. I can't imagine there was a frame difference. Maybe the bumper's a little wider at the ends to compensate for those fender bulges, but you could buy my oversized fender flares on Ebay right now and solve that problem I think the 2.5 bumper looks a little more cool

Man, i sent ARB USA some pics and a write up on the modifications on the Pajero version of the ARB. I got mine from AUS and I knew i had to modify it. Took awhile, but now that i know what to look for, the next one would be done very easily. Here is what Bretwalda was talkin about where the tubing bows out a lil to cover those fenders.

Let me know if you ever get to the point of getting one, cause i still have several pics on how to modify it and how I went about cutting and welding it.

later,
Angelo
